Movie Night At Ian's Place

For a long time, what I've been using as a television is an old monitor from a Commodore 64. Although this has some great geek value, it's pretty small, for a television.

I wanted to have a larger screen, but whatever I replaced the Commodore monitor with had to have at least as much geek value; a large-screen TV just wouldn't cut it.

So I went out and bought an LCD projector (the Plus UP-1100), and now I have a 145-inch display on the wall of my living room.

What does one do with a 145-inch display? Show movies, of course. And thus was born Movie Night At Ian's Place.

In addition to these scheduled Movie Nights, there are also (much more frequent) impromptu Movie Nights, which occur when someone says they feel like watching a movie or two on the big screen.
